Hampson Opticians Achieves NHS Status

The National Health Service has registered Hampson Opticians as a NHS eye examination centre. This means that we can now book appointments for a full and free eye examination with a registered optometrist.

There are many ways to qualify for an NHS eye examination such as being under 19 and in full time education, or being over 60 years of age. Other ways include being diabetic, having glaucoma yourself or being closely related to someone with this condition. Certain income related benefits, such as income support or job seekers allowance, also entitle you to an NHS sight test and a voucher towards glasses.

We stock a range for adults and for children that would totally covered by the voucher so you could get glasses without cost. Or you can put the voucher towards a pair if you wish.

Hampson Opticians can also accept vouchers given by other opticians or the Hospital Eye Service.

To achieve NHS status, Hampson Opticians had to undergo a rigorous inspection of the new practice in Chandlers Ford not only for the equipment used but also for health and safety regulations.

Simply call 023 8115 9719 and we’ll book you in!
